Dead dunes (also called gray dunes) are in Neringa, between Pervalka and Juodkrantė in teritory of Nagliai nature reserve.
Dunes are called gray because of predominant color of plants.
The highest dunes are Vingkopė (51 m) and Nagliai dune (53 m).
It is known that dunes four times (between year 1675 and 1934) drowned Nagliai village in the sand.
If you need to relax, forget all your problems and noise of city then you should visit dead dunes and do not forget your family. Dead dunes are very loved by photographs, painters and nature lovers because of amazing views.
