Visaginas is youngest city of Lithuania granted city rights in 1995 (established in 1975). It was build as a city for nuclear power plant workers, but nuclear power plant isn&#8217;t only one famous object near Visaginas.
Visaginas is located on Visaginas lake and nearby the largest lake of Lithuania &#8211; Druksiai (Drūkšiai) lake. This lake was perfect for cooling Ignalina power plant and also perfect for summer fun.

Dunes are called gray because of predominant color of plants.
The highest dunes are Vingkopė (51 m) and Nagliai dune (53 m).
It is known that dunes four times (between year 1675 and 1934) drowned Nagliai village in the sand.
