In year 1935 Lithuanian zoologist Tadas Ivanauskas initiated zoo in Kaunas. In 1938, when zoo was opened, there was 40 animals. Today you can see about 3000 various animals.
Lithuanian zoo is very popular among children. They can not only walk in the zoo, but also try riding pony or donkey and play in the playground.
